ChartMods runs in desktop browsers. Send yourself this page and install it on your computer.
Steps
- 01Unzip it somewhere permanentDouble-click the download and move the
chartmods-betafolder into Documents. Your browser runs it from there, so don't delete it. - 02Open your extensions pagePaste
chrome://extensionsinto the address bar. - 03Turn on Developer modeIt's the switch in the top-right corner.
- 04Click Load unpackedChoose the
chartmods-betafolder, the one withmanifest.jsoninside. - 05Pin it and open a chartPin ChartMods from the puzzle-piece menu, then open a TradingView chart. Your background is already on.
Shortcuts
Alt Shift B turns the background on or off. Alt Shift N switches to the next one. On a Mac, Alt is the Option key.
Updating the beta
Download the new zip, replace the files inside your chartmods-beta folder, then press the reload button on ChartMods in your extensions page. Your settings and your own backgrounds stay. Once ChartMods is on the Chrome Web Store, updates happen automatically.
Is Developer mode safe?
Yes. It only lets your browser run an extension from a folder instead of from the store. ChartMods only draws a background on TradingView chart pages. It can't see your account, your orders or other websites.
